ANDY REILLY'S KITS

Here's the deal, my name is Andy Reilly, I've been in the recording business since the mid 80's, moved from the UK, to the USA about 6 years ago and put together my own studio. Every session I record I always go out in the room and do drum samples just so I have them for replacement purposes etc. Anyway after a few years of this I've ended up with quite a collection which I use variances of on a regular basis. In the past producers were very strict about guarding their samples, but I think used in different scenarios with your own processing in your own mix it will never really be known it's the same samples. I am not affiliated with any of the sample companies or plug in dudes, it's just me, and I'm busy working in my own studio, so this package (and this cheap website!) has no fancy artwork or packaging, but I will be doing them in Drumagog's .GOG format after some careful consideration and advice from certain audio forums but I will leave all the dynamic grouping to you as every track is very different and will need to be tweaked to suit your needs anyway, plus this will keep the cost down as I'm running sessions at my studio also and this would be very time consuming for all that material. I personally use Logic's EXS sampler, as well as Drumagog,  and I have a sampler for each sound i.e Kick, Kick Room, Snare, Snare Room etc. then I'll buss all the room samples together as a stereo pair, that I have complete mix control of, and the same with the overhead samples. I will include the EXS instrument file and raw .wav samples for all you Logic users out there. The chart below shows you what is included in each of the 25 kits, the numbers show how many hits or multi-samples there are of each piece of the kit, and the last column shows the sample rate the particular kit was recorded at. The room samples differ slightly throughout the kits as I've moved my studio three times in the last few years, so they're not all the same rooms!! Most of them are pretty raw and can be eq'd and tweaked to taste.  All samples are direct downloadable in raw .WAV format with EXS 24 instrument files, and .GOG format for Wavemachinelabs Drumagog, you will have to tweak with dynamic grouping and sensitivity etc. in the drumagog files to suit your source audio. All hits go from loud to soft, most have at least 20 loud hits and then get softer, some don't, but they're on there anyway, not all have cymbals, hats and rides but there's enough sets of cymbals etc. to go round!
